A story of brotherhood and the incarceration of Japanese-Americans during the 1940s. A young Japanese-American man must search through memories of his childhood home and internment to find closure in his brother’s untimely death.

LIFE CONTINUES

The Paper Crane explores ideas of guilt, trauma and how humans move on in life. After interacting with local Japanese populations and hearing their stories of imprisonment and patriotism, I wanted to have a conversation about duty and pride in the face of prejudice.
