I am working with Ry Swaty (Your American Brother) and building custom cine modded lenses. The original lenses are vintage and come from the Soviet Union. So far, I really enjoy the look of vintage Soviet glass- soft and true to life colors. I plan to add anamorphic bokeh based on Tito Ferradans' amazing research. Flare lines and tints will also make their way into the lenses. Ry and I plan to semi-rehouse these lenses with 3d printed protective bodies and follow focus gears. We will hopefully sell these unique lenses for cheap prices in the near future! Here are some images I shot with the first mod- notice their transition from creamy bokeh to razor sharp focus.
